MetroConnects is a special purpose district that provides wastewater collection services in the unincorporated areas of Greenville County and transports approximately 20 million gallons of wastewater per day to Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) for treatment and disposal. MetroConnects operates and maintains more than 1,500 miles of wastewater collection lines serves more than 106,000 customer accounts. MetroConnects has initiated projects in four of Greenville’s historic mill villages to replace 100-year-old pipes that will support water quality restoration efforts by the Reedy River Water Quality group by eliminating leaks and manhole overflows.
