The RRWQG Public Outreach Committee, consisting of members from eight partner organizations, works to inform and inspire the public through engaging digital media/campaigns and fun events.  The committee also researches barriers to adopting the best ways to prevent pollution as well as conducting surveys to determine the public’s knowledge base.  Our primary areas of educational outreach are the following actions that can harm the Reedy:

  • Improper fertilization of lawns,
  • car washing on pavement,
  • using ‘flushable’ wipes,
  • pouring fats, oils and grease down the drain, and
  • mowing to the edge of waterways.
